Ladies, was it worth it to fight for equality?

I wish I could remember at this moment which Conservative woman I heard agreeing with us; suffice it to say that some of us are waking up to the reality that women can be just as intelligent as men, but it appears to take more than a high I.Q. to be worth listening to.

We worked long and hard, and waited for men to give us “permission” to vote so it’s no wonder that it was a slippery slope to where we find ourselves today. The “Garden Of Eden” story never really had the necessary impact it should have. Just because I could beat the guys at arm wrestling it never should have meant that I was their equal.

We had to be made different in order to accomplish something important: Raising children and promoting family values – neither task is all that easy. We ignore the gift of intuition because we want to be like the men. There are, of course, exceptions to the rule in this case but, as women, we would do better to hone the skills we already have and stop making the men feel less masculine, to include supporting them in their efforts to be more manly, to include passing on their traits to their children and other young men.
